Materials, Printing & Certifications
What goes on your wall?
Paper, ink and documents.
When you choose a material for a child's room, it's worth looking at documents rather than claims. Here is the paper and ink we use, and the documents we hold, exactly as they are.
Paper: 300 gsm non-woven
Our murals are printed on 300 gsm non-woven paper with a very light texture that lets the wall breathe. It does not expand when wet or shrink as it dries, and when you want to take it down it comes off dry, strip by strip.
So that it can be wiped with a damp cloth, the paper contains a low level of PVC. That is why we don't call our products "PVC-free". Unlike fully vinyl-coated papers, its surface is not sealed.
The maximum net print width of a single roll is 103.5 cm (about 40.7 in); wider walls arrive in rolls of equal width.
Printing: water-based HP Latex ink
We print on an HP Latex 700W with water-based HP 832 (fourth-generation) inks. We do not use UV or solvent inks. Paper printed with water-based ink is odorless.
According to the ink's Turkish Safety Data Sheet (SDS), the mixture does not meet the classification criteria; the sheet lists no hazard pictogram and no signal word. Its volatile organic compound (VOC) content is below 240 g/L (EPA Method 24).
Who do the certifications belong to?
The certifications and labels below belong to HP Latex ink technology; they were not issued to the paper or to Craft Paper Co. We print with this technology.
UL GREENGUARD Gold
A low chemical emissions standard for indoor air quality (UL 2818). Wallcoverings printed with HP Latex inks were tested under CDPH Standard Method V1.2-2017 with a 94.6 m² classroom loading; the limits are TVOC 0.22 mg/m³ and formaldehyde 9 µg/m³.
UL ECOLOGO
A product certification based on environmental impact criteria (UL 2801). The document covers HP Latex fourth-generation inks.
Other labels
The A+ (French indoor air emissions class), OEKO-TEX Eco Passport, "Meets AgBB criteria" and "Earn LEED credits" labels appear in HP's overview of environmental certifications.
HP renews these certifications periodically. The stated period of the two documents we hold has passed; HP continues to declare the certifications as current. When we receive current copies, we will update the documents and dates on this page.

Frequently asked questions
Does your wallpaper contain PVC?
Yes, at a low level. It is needed so the paper can be wiped with a damp cloth. That is why we don't call it "PVC-free"; unlike fully vinyl-coated papers, its surface is not sealed.
Do the certifications belong to the wallpaper?
No. GREENGUARD Gold, ECOLOGO and the other labels belong to HP Latex ink technology. We print with this technology, using water-based HP 832 inks.
Does the print smell?
It is printed with water-based ink, so it is odorless. To be sure, order a sample and smell the paper yourself.
Can I see the paper first?
Yes. The 30×30 cm sample is the same paper that goes on your wall: same paper, same ink, same machine.
See the paper in your hands
