Serving children's boundless imagination, and contributing to how they grow, is what Craft Paper Co. exists for. Opening up spaces that feed that imagination, helping them feel safe in their own room, and improving the quality of the time they spend there — that is our first priority.

We draw our inspiration from the mythological past and the singular landscape of Urla, İzmir.

The stones of Klazomenai, the olive groves, the coastal light and the daisy fields of spring — the color and the posture of the characters we draw both come from here. More often than not we work on our designs outdoors, inside the place that inspires them.

We are a small team. But with every magical, endearing creature Nihan draws, our imaginary team grows a little larger.

Once a month, we talk through every figure

We meet once a month with child psychologist Esin Karataş Ergin. She goes through the new figures drawn that month one by one, through a child's eyes; she tells us where an expression, a posture or a composition might be a problem for a child, and we change the drawing where it's needed.

She also advises on which themes suit a bedroom and which suit a playroom — the wall a child sleeps beside doesn't have to say the same thing as the wall they play beside.
